Christ University was founded in 1969 and was declared a deemed to be university in 2008. It is best known for its infrastructure and provides the best facilities compared to other colleges in India. The campus is spread over 25 acres in the central part of Bangalore city. It is close to residential localities such as BTM layout, Koramangala and Jayanagar which is one of the largest residential neighbourhoods in Bangalore. The main entrance is from Hosur Road and the back entrance is from Christ School Road. Our Hostel is located on Christ School Road and is just opposite to the back entrance. SG Palya is a vibrant locality with plenty of eateries and shops. The area is flocked by students of Christ University.

With over 15000 students and around a 1000 faculty members Christ University is one of the top ranked university in the country. There is a large number of foreign students as well from various nationalities. The undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes are nationally and internationally recognized. The campus was awarded “Best institutional building and garden” award by the Bangalore Urban Arts commission.

Admission process and key dates

Application process for undergraduate and post graduate courses starts in December. All related information such as fee structure, important dates, curriculum etc are available under the Admissions link www.christuniversity.in/admissions

Applications must be submitted in person within 3 working days of the declaration of class XII results. Most students would consider multiple colleges / universities to make sure they get the subject of their choice. At some point students would visit the university as part of the application process either for an entrance test or for filling / submitting the application. We highly recommend that the students and their parents should also spend some time to look around the neighbourhood for accommodation in case they decide to take up the course at Christ University. We have a dedicated team which conducts open days that are aligned to the entrance test dates or the application dates. On open days you could simply walk in to the hostel and our staff will give you a site tour. The results of the of the selection is usually declared within 48 hours of completion of the process and offer of admission is valid for 3 – 5 working days.

Admission registration fees

The admission registration fee is Rs 5000/- and is paid along with the programme fee for the first year only if the programme is offered and the student decides to pursue the course. Do not forget open a bank account in the Student’s name in South Indian Bank, this is mandatory. All payments to the University whether it is annual fees or payments are made via this account. This account must be opened while the application is being processed.

Cancellation

Cancellation is processed in person and all the original documents received from the university as part of the application process must be presented.
